Go figure?
Ms. Obama's view: "When we send our kids to school," Obama said, "we have a right to expect that they won't be eating the kind of fatty, salty, sugary foods that we're trying to keep from them when they're at home."
Of course, brainwave Sarah Palin tries to manipulate the story to being a "government getting involved in something parents should be in charge of," but, of course, Palin overlooked the fact that the government subsidizes the public schools and their purchasing of lunch products and is already very much involved in the process.
The Obama initiative is only out to improve the dietary aspects.
Plus, some parents might not have the time nor inclination to fight the battle vs. their local school board to improve the lunch menu.
