One of my favorite pastimes, watching the NBA officiating crews ... In this game, the 100-point "Richter Scale" quotient whereby you add the numerals on the back of the officials jerseys to see if it breaks the century mark or not.. This crew, Monty McCutchen (#13), Olandis Poole (#50) and Derrick Collins (#54), provide a "117" in the NBA officials uniform number game. Anything over 100 in this 'tongue-in-cheek' Richter Scale and all team coaches and GMs just cringe.
So far, the crew is doing a nice job.
With many of the new refs getting high numbers, we might have to adjust the NBA officiating richter scale to 110 for inflation.
Third quarter tips and it's back to the court from the press room.
