RAMBLE On ... Super Bowl ...Rudy Gay ... YouTube, Website Design and Slam Dunk campaign

Super Bowl Sunday ramblin' has to start with prediction for the game. The stakes? New England "Chahh-dahrrr" with Bacon from "Not Your Average Joe's" in Boston for a cup of Manhattan Clam, which has to be better than Progresso's.

New England 31, NY Giants 14.

Check out Rudy Gay's web site and his idea of asking the fans of the world to post some Slam-Dunk ideas for Rudy to incorporate into his own competition in the annual NBA Slam-Dunk contest.

I was impressed with the idea but was even more impressed by Rudy's website design.

In the 'in case you missed it' category of news, the NBA and FIBA announced another big step in the "Basketball without Borders" saga and that is a clinic in India.

Give a nice round of applause to the NBA staff and to Zach Messitte, the former United Nations staffer who helped the League get the B w/o B program off the ground back in 2000-01.

At that time, the event brought youngsters from the provinces of the former Yugoslavia together to play together in a camp held in Treviso, Italy. The following year, the amp moved to Greece and united players from Greece and Turkey.

The concept grew to the point where the last two summers saw Basketball w/o Borders clinics on four continents.

Next year, it will be time to pack up the bus and head to India, a new basketball frontier.
