Commonwealth governor Deval Patrick today took a major and controversial step towards fully legalizing three resort casino gambling entities to be placed strategically in the Commonwealth, presumably in Western Mass, Southeastern Mass and the Boston area.
According to reports, one of the casinos will be run by a tribal unit, similar to the Connecticut model for the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casino resort.
Interested business parties are now scambling for the plans to be considered for one of the three licenses, each to be renewed in 10-year intervals.
