Say it Ain't So.... Is the Globe going the way of the Brooklyn Eagle?
Divided Boston Globe union narrowly rejects tentative contract with the New York Times Company

The Globe’s largest employee union has rejected a tentative contract agreement with the New York Times Company, a decision that puts the future of the paper in limbo.
The union received 277 “no” votes and 265 “yes” votes.
“It’s bittersweet that there was a no vote with such a slim margin,” newsroom union delegate Beth Daley said last night. “I think people realize that his was a Hobson’s choice and no matter what they voted, the outcome was going to be difficult.”
“I do hope the company goes back to the table in good faith and finally negotiates a deal that will save the Globe but finally acknowledge the incredible sacrifices being made by Guild members,” Daley said.
