Bob Delaney and COVERT enjoyed another terrific plug tonight on ESPN.
As Delaney worked the Milwaukee Bucks at LA Lakers game at Staples Center, someone spilled some water near the Bucks' bench and it needed to be wiped up. So, with 11:52 left in in the 3rd quarter and Delaney tending to the chore, ESPN's No. 1 basketball play by play guy Mike Breen, said:
"Bob Delaney... Veteran official and noted author. His book - Covert, coming out... the story is amazing and its been pretty well documented ... His life as an undercover man working for an undercover task force in New Jersey. He became a member of the mob - under cover for a couple years.
"An incredible story and a terrific book.
"Like missing a call or something is gonna bother him in a game?" laughed Breen with his color commentator Jeff Van Gundy...
