It doesn't get any better than Patriot's Day in Boston. Up at 6am for the preparation and anticipation for the 2009 Boston Marathon. The early bird gets the worm, they say. Then after watching the elite runners crush Heartbreak Hill in Newton Centre, it was a quick switch over to NESN and the Boston Red Sox and a 12-1 annilhation of the Baltimore Orioles. Then, the "T" on the "T" to North Station ... a broken down old train ended up dumping us at "HAY-MAARKET." But that was alright, as I walked with the good people of Boston down Canal Street with the new TD Garden right in front... Johnnie's on the Side two blocks to my left but the press room straight on.
The Celtics got out to a big-time start, bringing tons of enrergy to the building in a "must win" Game 2 vs the Chicago Bulls.
Must win.
Ahh, using that term in Game 2 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs? A little early for the defending champs to be in that sitchie.
More to come..
