MADISON SQUARE GARDEN NAMES SAMMY STEINLIGHT AS VICE PRESIDENT, SPORTS TEAM PUBLICITY

Sammy Steinlight, a ten-year public relations veteran of the Knicks, Rangers and Liberty, has been named Vice President, Sports Team Publicity. In his new role, Mr. Steinlight will be responsible for proactive publicity efforts for the Knicks, Rangers and Liberty, targeting player publicity, business initiatives, off-the-court/ice activities and the Garden of Dreams Foundation.

As Vice President, Sports Team Publicity, Mr. Steinlight will develop and implement public relations campaigns for the Knicks, Rangers and Liberty that extend the visibility of the teams beyond traditional sports media. He will also play a major role in developing and implementing public relations initiatives for the Garden of Dreams Foundation, which partners with all areas of the Garden to "make dreams come true for kids in crisis".

Mr. Steinlight began at the Garden as a student intern in 1998. Most recently, he served as the Director of Public Relations with the Rangers for two seasons. Before that, he was a member of the Knicks public relations department for eight years, where he went from a student intern to the Manager of Public Relations.
